Exciting Start to the School Year!

We’re off to an incredible start, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have welcomed nearly 60 new Dragons into our community at the New Student Orientation! A massive shoutout to the ASD Dragon Ambassadors for making this event successful. Since then, we’ve kept the momentum going with our New Student Breakfasts, where new students had a chance to bond over Chapati and connect with their peers by grade level. It’s been amazing to see these new friendships form!

Counselor Coffee Kicked Off!  

Our first **Counselor Coffee** of the year was a hit! We were excited to introduce our newest team member, **Ms. Sana Mohammed**, and share the results of the parent responses to our triennial needs assessment. We also gathered fresh ideas to shape this year’s programming—thank you to everyone who contributed! Next, we’re planning a special October coffee session just for Grade 9 parents and new families. Senior University Night Highlights 

On September 9, we held our Senior University Night, and it was a fantastic evening! Our special guest, **Mr. Jarrod Mock**, Director of Admission at Carnegie Mellon University Qatar, gave families valuable tips and inspiration as they embark on the university journey. Afterward, we dove into breakout sessions focused on smart, practical strategies for completing applications. It was a night packed with insights and actionable advice! Want to see what we covered? What’s Coming Up? 

The next few weeks are packed with exciting initiatives! Our Grade 9 and Grade 12 Counselor Courses are about to kick off. The **Grade 9 Course** will help students navigate the transition to high school while building their four-year academic plans, and for our **Seniors**, it's all about making progress on those university applications.
