A: This message often happens when a personal device has more than one Google account signed in. A personal Google account can sometimes interfere with signing into ASD services like Google Workspace and Schoology.
Remove your personal Google account from the device.
Make sure only your ASD school account is signed in and active.
Try joining again.
A: This issue is usually related to account sign-in, not the hotspot itself. Even with a hotspot, you still need to be signed in with the correct ASD account.

A: Try these steps in order:
Clear your browser cache and cookies, then close and reopen your browser.
Restart your laptop, then try the assignment again.
Try a different browser (for example, if you are using Chrome, try Safari) and see if the issue happens there too.
A: Reply to helpdesk@asd.edu.qa with the following so we can narrow it down quickly:
Which browser and device you are using
Whether it works in another browser
Whether it works in a private or incognito window
A screenshot or the exact wording of any message on the loading screen
A: No. The devices are already running the latest available version (v1.14.2).
A: For school-managed devices, IT can deploy or update required apps remotely. This replaces the existing app version on the device with the most current approved version.
A: The student can:
Restart the computer to trigger the installation, or
Install it directly from the school’s self-service app portal.
A: No. If the app is available in self-service, the student can install it without administrator credentials.
A: Create a Google Meet.
Share your presentation in the meeting.
Make sure to press record and present your own parts while the meeting is running.
A: After you finish, the recording will be automatically sent to your Google Drive.
It usually shows up within 10 to 15 minutes depending on the length of the presentation.
A: Yes. Both partners should be in the same Google Meet and present their respective parts. Google Meet only records the person speaking alongside the presentation slides.
