MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS COUNSELING
What is Mental Health and Wellness?
According to the World Health Organization, "mental health is a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community."
Why is Mental Health and Wellness Counseling Important?
Mental Health and Wellness Counseling is important because a professional counselor can offer a safe space to talk about problems a person is experiencing. Counseling provides an opportunity for personal goal setting, support, and problem solving skills that stem from physical, emotional, and spiritual struggles.
