Teachers will provide additional instruction to students who are struggling to master a concept.
Students and parents will set specific and measurable goals for students to work towards in-order to show that they are making progress.
Once goals are met, students will no longer require tutoring. If a new goal is required, the teacher and parents will communicate to determine what that may be.
Tutoring will not be a homework help time. Students may receive additional instruction surrounding homework, but will primarily be working toward their goal set by themselves and their parents.
Same day tutoring will not be available unless assigned by the teacher.
Check your students planner for any notes that may come home with your student.
I will be the designated math tutor for fourth grade students this year.
Tutoring will only occur Mondays & Wednesdays and will be specifically focused on math. Students in my class may use tutoring as a time to make up tests as well.
Please reach out to me via email (etomlin@ascentclassical.org) with at least one or two specific goals that you would like to accomplish. I am happy to prepare extra instruction for your student but will need at least one day to ensure that I am fully prepared. Students will only be in tutoring until they have completed their goal. If a new goal needs to be met, then we will need to communicate about setting up a new goal.
