Welcome to middle school social studies at Ascension! While each grade has a different topic of study, students will study the past in order to: 

1. Develop a better understanding of the world around them.

2. Critically evaluate information, develop an opinion, and cite evidence to support their conclusions about historical and current events.

3. Research historical issues to develop problem solving skills and make connections to contemporary issues.

Each grade has their own Google Classroom that includes the class syllabus and information related to class/homework and projects.  See the links below to find each Social Studies Google Classroom.
