The Executive team consists of 8 eleventh grade students who've been diligently working to plan this year's event since the Fall of 2022.
Additionally, they have worked alongside Marta Vernet, Ana Martinez, and Luisa Miguez to make the most of the event, and broaden the opportunities for change. Below, you can get to know a bit more about each member of the team!
We would also like to thank the previous RefugArt Executive board for setting such a strong foundation for success in both our year and in future years to come.

Ms. Luisa Miguez
Refugart Mentor and Advisor
For Ms. Luisa, she believes RefugArt is an amazing project where students´ creativity and commitment to helping others comes together to raise awareness on the issue of refugees. With Ms. Ana´s guidance, students make art and this in itself is beautiful, but when you know you are helping others, it's even more rewarding. Being part of RefugArt is an important part of her teaching load and she believes that together, we can do a lot to help those in need.
Ms. Ana Martínez
Refugart Mentor and Advisor
Ms. Ana, founded Refugart with Ms. Marta Vernet along with some IB visual Art students in 2016. This project started using real life jackets from Refugees brought from Greece. The ASB community designed art pieces using these jackets, in order to bring awareness about the refugee crisis. Since then, the project has been growing. RefugArt is a tool to bring awareness about this situation through creativity and empathy. She believes that working as a team we can make a change in our society,
