Submitting the form is an application to join the Malaysian Contingent. Your place is confirmed only after your details have been verified, any required diocesan endorsement is complete, and the required payment has been received.

Please provide complete and accurate information and respond to requests for documents or clarification by the stated deadlines. Incomplete applications may not be processed.

The applicable fees, payment instructions and deadlines are listed in the official fee schedule. Please check what is included and which costs you must pay separately.

Unless an instalment arrangement is expressly offered, payment must be made in full by the stated deadline. Your place is not confirmed until the required payment is received.

Fees paid are non-refundable if you withdraw or are unable to participate.

You may request to transfer your place to a replacement pilgrim. Transfers require approval, must meet the WYD organisers’ requirements and deadlines, and may involve additional costs. A transfer is not confirmed until you receive written approval. 

If the event or a package is cancelled, any refund will depend on the amount recoverable from the organisers and costs already incurred.

Indicating interest in Days in the Diocese (DiD) does not guarantee a place. Participation depends on acceptance by the host diocese, available places and any additional requirements or fees.

The deadline to indicate interest in DiD is 31 December 2026. Further information will be provided to those who indicate interest.

Pilgrims are responsible for booking and paying for their own flights and any travel outside the official WYD programme, unless the Malaysian Contingent states otherwise in writing.

Check that your travel plans match the latest official arrival and departure instructions. Suggested flights are for reference only and are not bookings made on your behalf.

You are responsible for having a valid passport and meeting all entry, transit and travel requirements that apply to you.

You must arrange suitable travel insurance for your journey, including medical cover and cover for travel disruption. Check the official fee schedule to see whether any insurance is included in your WYD package.

For contingent safeguarding purposes, pilgrims born on or after 1 January 2009 are treated as minors. They must provide the required parent or guardian consent and comply with the contingent’s supervision and chaperone arrangements.

A parent or guardian must provide accurate emergency contact and relevant medical information. A minor may participate only after the required arrangements have been accepted by the contingent.

Please provide accurate information about health conditions, medication, allergies, accessibility needs and emergency contacts that may affect your participation or care. Inform the coordinators if this information changes before departure.

This information will be handled sensitively and shared with people who need it for registration, safeguarding, pastoral care or emergency response.

Pilgrims must follow the code of conduct, safeguarding requirements and reasonable instructions issued by the Malaysian Contingent, WYD organisers and host dioceses. Serious misconduct or failure to follow safeguarding instructions may result in removal from an activity or the contingent. Any resulting costs are the pilgrim’s responsibility.

Programme, accommodation, transport and group arrangements may change due to organiser decisions, safety needs, availability or circumstances beyond the organisers’ control. Updates will be shared through official channels.

The information you provide will be used to administer your registration, payment, travel and programme arrangements, and to support safeguarding, pastoral care and emergency response. Relevant information may be shared with diocesan representatives, WYD organisers, host dioceses, service providers or a parent or guardian when needed for these purposes.
