Purpose:
Used for account creation, authentication, and user identification.
Profile photo is used for personalizing user profiles.
This data is stored securely in Firebase Realtime Database and is not shared with any third parties.
2. Contact Information
Permission Used: Contacts
Purpose: We access your device's contacts to allow you to connect with others using SHTALK and share voice messages with contacts saved on your device.
Usage: Contacts information is accessed to match users within the app but is not stored or shared with any third parties.
3. Profile Photos
Permission Used: Photos
Purpose: We allow users to upload a profile photo from their device.
Usage: Photos are used solely for personalizing user profiles and are not shared or stored outside the app unless explicitly uploaded by you.
4. Voice Messages
Permission Used: Microphone
Purpose: To record and send voice messages to other users.
Usage: Audio recordings are stored temporarily in Firebase Storage for delivering voice messages to the intended recipient. Voice messages are automatically deleted by the app after 24 hours to protect your privacy.
5. Voice Recognition
Permission Used: Speech Recognizer
Purpose: To enable users to use voice commands to search for contacts or send messages.
Usage: Your voice input is processed on your device for the sole purpose of converting speech to text. Voice data is not stored or sent to any server.
6. Camera Access
Permission Used: Camera
Purpose: To enable users to take photos for their profile directly within the app.
Usage: Photos captured using the camera are stored locally or uploaded explicitly as profile pictures.
7. Push Notifications
Permission Used: Notifications
Purpose: To send you updates about messages, app activities, or changes to the app.
Usage: Notifications can be customized or disabled in your device's settings.
Automatic Deletion: All voice messages stored by the app will be automatically deleted after 24 hours from the time they are sent or received.
Technology Used: We use WorkManager to schedule and manage this automatic deletion process securely and efficiently.
Purpose: This ensures privacy by minimizing the retention of sensitive user data.
Request Manual Deletion: If you wish to delete any of your user information or messages manually before the automatic deletion period, please contact us at apps@pixelvide.com.
We use Firebase services to enhance functionality, ensure app performance, and securely store data:
1. Firebase Realtime Database and Firebase Storage
Usage:
User data (such as name, profile photo, and contact details) is stored in the Firebase Realtime Database.
Voice messages and user-uploaded files are stored temporarily in Firebase Storage and deleted within 24 hours.
Data Retention: Data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide services to you and deleted automatically or upon request.
2. Firebase Analytics
Purpose: To collect anonymized usage data to better understand how users interact with SHTALK and improve app functionality.
Data Collected: Aggregated user activity, app performance data, and crash reports. This data is not linked to any identifiable personal information.
3. Firebase Crashlytics
Purpose: To monitor and analyze app crashes for improving the app’s stability and performance.
Data Collected: Crash logs, device information, and app state at the time of the crash. This information is anonymized and used solely for diagnostic purposes.
To provide core functionalities of the app (e.g., messaging, storing user data).
To enhance performance, troubleshoot errors, and improve user experience.
To analyze aggregated data for app optimization via Firebase Analytics.
To notify users of app updates or important communications via push notifications.
