As the S3 Admin course is largely IT based, homework will infrequent and focus primarily on Theory elements.
However, it may be appropriate to issue IT based homework. Pupils will need to ensure that they have access to desktop versions of the Microsoft Office application. If for any reason pupils do not have access to the required software, the Faculty can be used at lunchtime/after school to complete homework tasks.
Microsoft Office can be downloaded free of charge from Glow. Please click here to see a short video explaining how to do this.
Pupils will be assessed throughout the year.
L4 NPA Customer Care - pupils will be assessed at appropeiate points throughout the year. As these are SQA assessments, you will only be given 2 chances to pass each outcome. Successfully passing all outcomes will see a L4 NPA awarded on your SQA Certificate at the end of S4.
IT assessment - pupils will have several IT assessments throughout the year. This could be a class task that will be marked to record progress, or a more formal assessment towards the end of a sub-topic.
The S3 Admin course timeline is currently being updated. It will appear here when it is completed. For further information, please contact Mr McNiven.
