How do I prepare for my exam?
For Engineering Science, the best way to prepare is to practice past papers from the SQA website. The mark your work using the marking instructions online.
The Bright Red book is also a great summary for the key parts of each unit.
All of the electronic component symbols, logic symbols and pneumatic symbols need to be memorised so use / make flashcards to help get these into your head. What is it called? What is the function? What does the symbol look like?
Use the data booklet as you do practice questions to get used to using in under exam conditions.
Read your summary notes on impacts of engineering and roles of engineers as these will be in every exam. You'll need to be able to relate this to different contexts but your summary will have key words to help you gain the marks - read the question to make it as relevant as possible.
