Writing
There are a range of ways you can study for your French / German / Spanish exams. The most important thing you can do is learn the 4 predictable bullet points of your Job Application for the writing exam. You should have a copy of these in your jotter and you can learn them off by heart. Try using the website memorizer.me for tips on how to memorise!
Reading
You can do reading past papers from the SQA website. Make sure you use a paper dictionary rather than an online dictionary. If you need to borrow one from your teacher, let them know. Try to time yourself – you have 1hr 30 mins for the reading and the writing together so timing is really important.
Listening
Make sure you revise vocabulary for listening. Your teacher will put links to quizlets and vocabulary on Teams for you to revise. You can also watch videos on YouTube by searching for “EasyFrench / EasySpanish / EasyGerman”. Past papers and marking schemes are available on the SQA website. Supported study runs every week with a specific focus on listening – check your Teams pages or ask your teacher when these sessions are.
