Splendour in the Grass

This painting depicts all the fun and busyness of the popular music festival Splendour in the Grass. Showing bands in the amphitheatre, dancers in Tee Pee village, Splendour in the Craft, little splendour, the Moet Tent, police and sniffer dogs, food and dress stalls and of course the mud, gum boots and crazy outfits. I used bits of the Triple J hottest 100 CD cover for a tent, some sheet music in the hills and included a map of Byron Bay where the festival is held.
