For this project, we're going to be measuring and graphing data we collect from a growth creature. Take a look at the creature your teacher shares with you. Make some predictions. Turn and talk to your neighbors to discuss your predictions.
1. How much do you think your creature will grow?
2. How big will your creature get?
3. How long will it take your creature to grow?
4. How much water will it need?
Your predictions weren't very exact, are they? Without using measuring tools and specific units of measurement, it is hard to make a mathematical or scientific prediction. In this unit, we're going to learn how to find exact measurements. Then, we're going to graph and share our results.
In order for us to find and record these exact measurements, we have to become familiar with them first.
