In this section, you're going to create our own piece of artwork. You will select an inanimate object (like sunflowers or a bedroom) and sketch it with a variety of art mediums on a blank piece of paper.
Once finished, you will make a second version that is slightly different from the first version you created.
1. Select your subject. Look around the room for inspiration! Find one item that is meaningful to you in some way to use as the subject for your work.
2. Sketch your subject. Using a blank piece of paper and a pencil, begin to sketch the subject you selected. Take your time - study and apply the use of lines, shapes, composition, and color.
3. Add color. Once your sketch is completed and you are satisfied, begin to add color with either colored pencils, markers and/or oil pastels.
4. Create a second version of your work. This could be a way to fix errors that happened during your first sketch, or it could be a way for you to add new details or change the perspective of your original idea slightly. The second version should look similar but not the same as the first version.
