Children as Storytellers in a Digital Age
Children tell, talk about, play and create stories based on their experiences of film and popular media. However, these experiences are not always valued in the classroom. In this session Dr Becky Parry will invite you to explore how we can use new digital tools, as well as everyday items to support children's storytelling and film production. Through a number of practical activities, you will be introduced to a range of approaches that can be used to support children in telling and sharing digital and interactive stories. This talk is for anyone who would like to further explore how to help children create and share stories whilst also considering how we value what children already know about film and media.
