REGULAR SCHOOL DAYS
Arthur Academy has a dress code. Compliance with the dress code is mandatory and students not dressed according to the code will be asked to change.
Navy blue or white SOLID color collared shirts. This can include button-up shirts or polo shirts.
Shirts should not be light blue or have patterns.
Tank tops are not part of our dress code (including dress down days).
Long-sleeved shirts worn under a collared shirt should follow our colors of white or navy blue.
Navy blue or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, leggings or dresses.
Please be sure shorts, leggings or tights are always worn under skirts and dresses. These can be any color.
Shorts, skirts and dresses should be just above the knee or longer.
Please no short-shorts.
Shoes must have a back on them.
Sweaters and sweatshirts should be navy blue or white if they are being worn during class. If they are just being worn at recess or to and from school, then it does not need to follow our dress code.
Sweats/pajamas/workout pants are not acceptable.
A "Uniform Exchange" is available for donation and/or obtaining lightly used uniforms.
LION PRIDE DAY
We celebrate our lion pride once a month. On these days, students may wear a GAA t-shirt or a plain black t-shirt to represent our school! If a student participates with one of these shirts, he/she may wear jeans on the bottom. If a student is not participating, the regular school day dress code applies!
$3 THURSDAY
Once a month, we offer students the chance to “Donate for a Dress Down Day”. Students who bring $3 on these specified days, may dress down for this day (school appropriate attire does not include tank tops, short shorts, pajamas, or costumes). There are no color restrictions for tops/bottoms.
BUDDY CLASS DAY
On Buddy Class Day, buddy classes get together to do an activity. On this day, students are encouraged to wear their class color shirt with jeans or regular dress code bottoms. The class colors are: (K) red, (1st) orange, (2nd) yellow, (3rd) green, (4th) blue and (5th) purple.
DRESS DOWN DAY
Every once in a while, a class (or students) may earn a dress down day. Parents are notified ahead of time and are allowed to wear school appropriate attire in the colors of their choice. School appropriate attire does not include tank tops, short shorts, pajamas, or costumes.
