#CSE4ALL Campaign @ 55th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC55) (March 11, 2024)

Advocate for CSE and express your support for the #CSE4ALL campaign by actively engaging on your social media platforms for the #CSE4ALL advocacy campaign on March 11, 2024, targeting  a session of the 55th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC55).

The Human Rights Council will hold its fifty-fifth session from February 26 to April 5, 2024 at the United Nations Office at Geneva. The Council will hold a panel discussion to interact with heads of governing bodies and secretariats of United Nations agencies within their respective mandates on specific human rights themes with the objective of promoting the mainstreaming of human rights throughout the United Nations system. 

At its organisational session, the Human Rights Council decided that the theme for 2024 of the annual panel discussions on human rights mainstreaming would be “Harnessing multilateral efforts to embed, amplify and realize the rights of persons with disabilities, with a focus on full and effective participation and inclusion in society.”

CSE4ALL Campaign @ Seventh Asian and Pacific Population Conference (13th-17th September 2023)

Advocate for CSE and express your support for the #CSE4ALL campaign by actively engaging on your social media platforms for the #CSE4ALL advocacy campaign throughout the Seventh Asian and Pacific Population Conference.

The Seventh Asian and Pacific Population Conference (APPC) is organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Asia and the Pacific in-person and online from 15 to 17 November 2023.

The APPC is a Conference for Asia and the Pacific that plays a major role in setting the priorities and the agenda for population and development-related policies in the region. The objectives of the APPC are to review the progress made in implementing the 2013 Asian and Pacific Ministerial Conference on Population and Development (APMCPD) and the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) in Asia and the Pacific.

It will identify good practices, lessons learned, priority actions, and new trends, recognize achievements in population and development, and identify challenges and opportunities for the future.

CSE4ALL Campaign @ SDG Summit 2023 (18th-19th September 2023)

Advocate for CSE and express your support for the #CSE4ALL campaign by actively engaging on your social media platforms for the #CSE4ALL advocacy campaign throughout the SDG Summit 2023.

The 2023 SDG Summit will take place on 18-19 September 2023 in New York. It will mark the beginning of a new phase of accelerated progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) with high-level political guidance on transformative and accelerated actions leading up to 2030.

The Summit marks the mid-point of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. As such, it will review the state of the SDGs implementation, provide policy guidance, mobilize action to accelerate implementation and consider new challenges since 2015. It will be the centrepiece of the High-level Week of the General Assembly. It will respond to the impact of multiple and interlocking crises facing the world and is expected to reignite a sense of hope, optimism, and enthusiasm for the 2030 Agenda.

Women Deliver Conference 2023 -CSE4ALL Campaign (19th July 2023)

Amplify the call for #CSE4ALL at #WD2023 during our 'Young People's Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Information and Services' side-event @ July 19th at 5.30pm CAT (11:30PM MYT)

On 19th July, ARROW is organising an official side event on 'Young People's Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Information and Services'. The session will feature youth speakers from Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Nepal, who will share experiences of young people in all their diversities, focusing on their access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), in particular access to contraception and comprehensive sexuality education. They will also provide recommendations on ensuring accessibility and availability of these services. Join us on July 19th at 5.30pm CAT at MH1.2, Kigali Convention Center.

The Women Deliver 2023 Conference (WD2023) will take place in-person in Kigali, Rwanda, as well as virtually, from 17-20 July 2023. As one of the largest multi-sectoral convenings to advance gender equality, WD2023 will convene 6,000 people in Kigali and 200,000+ people online through the virtual Conference and six-month Global Dialogue leading up to the Conference. WD2023 will enable inclusive and co-created spaces that foster solidarity for sustainable solutions on gender equality.

CSE4ALL Campaign @ HLPF2023 (10th-19th July 2023)

Show your support by amplifying CSE4ALL messages during HLPF2023!

The High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will be held from 10 July - 19 July 2023, under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council. The theme will be " Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels ”.

In the forum, participants will be able to further discuss the effective and inclusive recovery measures to address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and explore actionable policy guidance for the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs at all levels. The HLPF in 2023, without prejudice to the integrated, indivisible and interlinked nature of the SDGs, will also review in-depth Goals 6 on clean water and sanitation, 7 on affordable and clean energy, 9 on industry, innovation and infrastructure, 11 on sustainable cities and communities, and 17 on partnerships for the Goals.

Highlighting the intersectionality of CSE with other SDGs are crucial to ensure a robust approach in CSE planning and implementation. Show your support and join the movement!

CSE4ALL Campaign @ CPD56 (10th-14th April 2023)

Express your support for #CSE4ALL by engaging in the online advocacy campaign throughout CPD56!

The CPD-56th Session will take place in the United Nations, New York from CPD monitors, reviews and assesses the implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development at the national, regional and international levels and advises the Population Council thereon as one of its important functions. It is an important space with an intergovernmental mechanism composing of 47 member states.

The priority theme for CPD this year is population, education and development and just like the CSW, the theme for this year’s CPD gives us the opportunity to discuss CSE with education being the entry point. The CSE Regional advocacy campaign will start a week ahead of the CPD  session and garner support for inclusion of CSE in the outcomes.

CSW67 Action! (6th-17th March 2023)

Let's take action and actively engage in the #CSE4ALL campaign targeted at the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).

CSW is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women. The 67th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67), to be held March 6-17 2023, will consider as its priority theme “Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.”
