Todd Fruth is the choral director at Amherst Regional High School, where he leads the Chorale, Hurricane Singers, Concert Choir, Music Theory and Music Production classes. He also teaches a contemporary music course at Summit Academy. Mr. Fruth is excited to return to the Pioneer Valley; he earned his undergraduate degree from Amherst College and spent two years in the area afterwards working with groups such as the Hampshire Young People's Chorus and the Pioneer Valley Chordsmen.
He earned his Masters Degree in Music Education from Indiana University, and he previously taught for four years at Falmouth High School on Cape Cod. Mr. Fruth performs as a tenor with the local choral ensembles Illuminati and Novi Cantori, and he directs the adult a cappella group the Green Street Brew. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, yoga, and cross-country travel.
