Join the Library of Congress as we inaugurate Meg Medina, the eighth National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. The National Ambassador is charged with fostering a love of reading, writing and civic engagement among children, teens and families. Medina will serve a two-year term from 2023 to 2024.

Parrot Over Puerto Rico
Based on the life of Archbishop Óscar Arnulfo Romero (1917-1980), the new children’s book  “Telegrams to Heaven,” by Salvadoran writer of children’s literature René Colato Laínez, narrates the life of Óscar as a child.
