Elective Selections

Stage 5 Elective Selections Timeline (all dates are approximate)

Week 9 T3

• Students receive access to the online Stage Elective Handbook.

Week 2 T4

• Elective Information Session will be held in Week 2, Term 4

  • Stage 5 Elective Choices Site shown to families and shared via Compass.

  • Families will be able to meet with current teachers of elective subjects to discuss course information 

  • (Please note that the current teacher may not be teaching this subject in 2027)

• Students will have the opportunity to discuss their choices with families.

Weeks 2/3 T4

• Students will be issued a Web Code to make their online selections

• Students will be asked to make 4 choices 

  • (IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE, WITH 1 BEING THE COURSE THEY MOST WANT TO CHOOSE).

Week 4 T4

• Online preferences are due.

Week 5 - 6 T4

• Lines and classes will be developed, and conversations will be had with students with clashes or choices that are not running.

• Year 10 students will have priority for their choices.

Week 9 T4

• Students will be informed of their allocated subjects for 2027
