SUBJECT SELECTION TIMELINE

TERM 2

Week 4

• Introduction to the HSC Information Session 

  • Presented to Year 10 students

  • Presented to Year 10 families

  • Presentation available on Compass & Stage 6 Links Site

Week 5, 6, 7

• Subject Taster Sessions - HTS

Week 7

• Senior Studies Handbook distributed to students and available on Compass & Stage 6 Links Site

Week 8

• Subject Selection Information Session - Tuesday 9 June @ 5.30 pm in HTS Hall

Weeks 8-10 

• Students discuss their preferences with the teaching staff, the Stage 6 Leadership Team & Pathways Team

• Subject Selection Family Conferences - bookings can be made via Compass.

• Students/Parent interviews for TVET & SBAT applications

Week 8

• Students issued with EDVAL code to enter subject preferences

• Online preferences will open.

Week 10

• Online preferences need to be submitted via EDVAL Webchoice by Date TBC (sufficient notice will be given)

TERM 3

Week 1 - 3

• Course lines determined for 2027 timetable

• Students will confirm selections on the 2027 Course Selection Form and re-select subjects if required.

• Student/Parent Interviews for Distance Ed/online courses

Weeks 8-10

• Students will return the 2027 Course Selection Form

• Year 11 Subject Selection Family Meetings will commence.
