We believe that technology tools, when used appropriately, can provide deeper conceptual knowledge and new ways of acquiring valuable skills. Though these are not the only uses, we recognize that technology can allow students to visualize content in new and unique ways; becoming creators of their own learning while demonstrating knowledge in authentic, meaningful and relevant formats. By incorporating technology into the classroom regularly, and when appropriate to learning, we can better ensure students develop the skills necessary to be powerful and responsible users of the digital world we live in.
The Arlington Public Schools is committed to protecting our students' privacy while also supporting the innovative use of digital learning resources in teaching and learning.

APS DIGITAL LEARNING RESOURCES
The APS Digital Learning Resources list (Link to the APS Digital Applications Database) includes district-wide subscriptions, free apps, and those that are paid for by specific departments or schools. There are three possible designations for each tool:
Approved: The contract is signed and the app is in use.
Approved with Guardian Release: The guardians signed a contract to allow it to be used in a specific classroom with a specific group of students.
Not Approved: The vendor was unable to sign the contract and, therefore, teachers are not allowed to use the app with students.
