Course Selection Guide
WELCOME
Welcome to the Arlington High School Scheduling Website, a site designed to guide you through choosing courses for the next academic year. We will work with you as a team in the coming weeks and months to help create a schedule for you (or your student) to best challenge and support you in your continuing educational journey. This site will be updated regularly with new information, dates, and processes.
Please select the menu next to the title above (left-hand corner) to find the documents you may need.
Class of 2028
If you currently attend Ottoson Middle School, please use powerschool to select your courses.
If you are transferring and new to APS, please select the transfer student page for updates on process.
After March 22 Please use the Transfer page to find the course selection paperwork
Current Scheduling Dates
May - We are reviewing students requests and determining section numbers for next year
June - July - We will be working on completing a schedule.
August - Schedule will be sent out to students along with a process to schedule School Counselor appointments to address any scheduling errors.
IF YOU ARE NEW (or RETURNING FROM ANOTHER SCHOOL) TO ARLINGTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS, PLEASE CHECK THE DISTRICT WEBSITE TO FIND WHEN THE WINDOW TO REGISTER WILL BE OPEN. Please link to the transfer page for additional information. You may use the paper request forms listed on the transfer page after March 1 (they reflect the same courses as the online process).
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT COURSE PLACEMENT IS NOT BASED UPON WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE COURSE REQUESTS. THE COMPUTER DOES NOT USE THE ORDER IT RECEIVES THE REQUESTS IN DETERMINING CLASS PLACEMENT. ALSO, THERE ARE ENOUGH SEATS IN ALL CORE CLASSES FOR STUDENTS TO BE PLACED IN THEIR REQUESTED COURSES.
