UJC seeks to make scientific journals accessible to undergraduates to prepare students for graduate school and advanced scientific careers in medicine, academia, and industry.
"A man's mind, stretched by new ideas, may never return to its original dimensions"
— Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.
UJC is an elite, professional development club consisting of highly motivated individuals wishing to advance their knowledge of science through the analysis and presentation of recently published research. Club meetings include seminars from guest speakers, lectures on how to read and understand scientific journals, an introduction to basic lab techniques, socials, and presentations by members on research articles, as well as focus groups outside of regular paper meetings specifically tailored to member interests.
As a club that values both community and academics, we are also actively expanding community outreach efforts.
