Christopher Stemple a University of Arizona alumni and native Arizonan, graduating with a BS in Electrical Engineering, MS in Biomedical Engineering, MS in Engineering Management, and most recently, an MBA. Chris has 16 years of professional experience across a variety of roles in the engineering industry, including owning and operating an engineering consulting company, semiconductor research & development as a program manager at Texas Instruments, global supply chain management and engineering proposal development as a senior manager at Raytheon, and currently is the Director of Electronic Fire Control at Day & Zimmermann, supporting the American defense industry.

Chris volunteers his time to a variety of organizations, most notably, the Tau Beta Pi (TBP) Association, the country’s oldest and largest engineering honorary where he serves as the Chief Advisor to the UA’s Arizona Alpha student chapter, District Director for all engineering universities in the southwest US, and as a Director of the Tucson TBP Alumni Chapter. Aside from TBP, he serves on the executive committee for the Young Leaders Unity affinity group of United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona. As a student at the U of A, he was heavily involved with a variety of organizations including the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), and of course, the Engineering Student Council (ESC). Outside of work and volunteering, Chris is an avid car enthusiast and his ideal Saturday would be spent out in the garage, maintaining and modifying one of his American muscle cars or motorcycles.

Chris remains closely tied to the U of A to this day, serving as a long-time judge at Craig M. Berge Engineering Design Days, regularly hosting booths at STEM and iExpo career fairs, and mentoring students whenever possible.
