Class overview
This course explores the development of the U.S. from early colonization through the end of the Reconstruction. Students will examine the key people, events, ideas, and movements that shaped the nation, analyzing how geography, government, religion, culture, and economics influenced American history. Emphasis will be placed on critical thinking, historical inquiry, and connections to current issues and civic responsibility.
