Latin 4

Latin 4 is a 9th grade course which follows the Cambridge Latin Course, Books 3-4. We will also be supplementing more advanced grammar and reading from Wheelock's Latin and some authentic Latin texts from the late Roman Republic and early Roman Empire. 

Goals of the class: 

1. Build on reading comprehension skills in Latin 

2. Improve complex grammatical understanding and grammartical reasoning 

3. Read authentic Latin texts which explore culture, life, history, and literature of the Roman world 

4. Build vocabulary in both English and Latin
