Born over 150 years ago, Milton Hershey the Hershey company inventor has his own company named Hershey. Milton Hershey started out by making caramels with fresh milk. His caramels were so successful that he made his own caramel company. Milton called his company the "Lancaster Caramel Company." Without a doubt the company quickly became a success. But Milton took a trip to Chicago and sparked an interest in chocolate. That's when the real fun began. After a long time of deciding, he took a risk and sold the Lancaster caramel company for... 1 million dollars! But Milton couldn't just waltz in and start a whole company, he had to figure out how to exactly make chocolate! There was one company that knew how to make chocolate and that company was Nestle. Milton went on to ask Nestle but Nestle wasn't willing to give up their secret. Finally after many fails Milton Hershey figured out how to make chocolate! He immediately became a chocolatier. He made the Hershey company and soon it had thousands of workers. He made Milk chocolate Hershey bars and it took a long process to make the new flavors that are there today.
