Dear Year 9 Student
We have put together this website to assist you in choosing your options. We recommend that you view the site with a parent/guardian and work your way through all the information. Our aim is to give you all the information you need to make the best possible choices.
Key Dates 2023-24:
December & January - Options and Futures focus during CPD lessons
December - Options Brochure will be published
December - Parent/Guardian Information Evening
January - Year 9 Options assemblies
Start of February - INITIAL options choices are made
7th March - Parents' Consultations Meetings
4th - 11th March - Options Choices Form will be open for FINAL options choices to be submitted
Easter Holidays - Timetable is written by Miss Page, Deputy Headteacher based on final choices
5pm Friday 26th April 2024 - Deadline for any requests to swap choices. N.B. swaping may not be possible after timetable written
May - Confirmation of Options choices in a meeting with a senior member of staff
Careers video presentation - by Mr Carbery, Careers & Pathways Leader
Subject video presentations - subject teachers talking about course content, how it is assessed and why it might suit you
