DAY 1 (Sep 14)
Lima - Cusco
4:15 AM Depart from meeting point to Lima airport
5:00 AM Airport check in
6:05 AM Flight to Cusco
7:25 AM Arrive in Cusco
Transfer to hotel in Cusco
Free morning to get used to altitude.
12:00 PM Hotel check In
Free time for lunch.
1:30 PM - 7:00 PM Cusco City Tour and surrounding ruins. We will ascend to the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman. We will start visiting the fortress of the same name, a beautiful place that radiates peace and tranquility. We will admire the huge rocks up to 4 meters high, which were used in its construction. We will continue with Q'enqo, the ancient temple of the Puma where you can see an altar for sacrifices on the inside of a huge rock. Then we will visit Tambomachay, a sacred source of life and health. Along the way, we will have a panoramic view of Puca Pucará, a watchtower that guarded the entrance to the city. Afterwards, we will go to the Koricancha; a temple to the god Inti, the Sun, on which the Church of Santo Domingo was built. Chronicles tell that this temple was covered in gold in Inca times. To finish, we will visit the Plaza de Armas and enter the Cathedral which treasures priceless colonial works and paintings such as the Cross that arrived with the first conquistadors.

DAY 2 (Sep 15)
Cusco - Sacred Valley
4:00 AM Wakeup Call
5:00 AM Breakfast
6:00 AM Pick up from the Hotel for the tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
7:00 AM Chinchero. Visit the town of Chinchero, a small Inca and colonial town.
8:30 AM Moray. Masterpiece of engineering. This was an agricultural laboratory used by the Incas for the improvement of plant cultivation. Agriculture was the primary economic activity of the Inca Empire.
9:30 AM Pueblo de Maras
10:30 AM Salineras de Maras. Ancestral techniques of obtaining salt. During the Spanish occupation, this was valuable merchandise.
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Lunch
Finca Tunupa. We will travel along the banks of the Vilcanota River, until arriving at Urubamba for lunch.
2:00 PM Ollantaytambo. Then you will visit Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns. Its streets maintain the same outline as that of the Inca era and you will visit the wonderful archaeological complex located there.
4:00 PM Pisac. You will visit the archaeological complex of Pisaq. Afterwards visit the Artisan Market, where you can buy beautiful handicrafts.
7:00 PM Return to Cusco
Day 3 (Sep 16)
Cusco - Machu Picchu
4:00 AM Wakeup Call
5:00 AM Breakfast
5:15 AM depart hotel to bus station
5:40 AM - 7:54 AM Bus station to train station (Ollantaytambo) Vista Dome Train
9:54 AM Machu Picchu pueblo (Aguas Calientes)
10:00 AM Bus station to archaeological complex of Machu Picchu
11:00 AM Arrive at the entrance to Machu Picchu (the route begins)
3:00 PM Finish route and return to Aguas Calientes
3:45 PM Lunch (Full House Restaurant)
5:23 PM Return to Ollantaytambo bus station via expedition train
9:40 PM Arrive at Cusco and transfer to the Hotel SONESTA
10:00 PM Arrive at the hotel
