Program price is the price listed on the Arcos Online Learning website the day you apply.
Payment is due by your invoice due date unless otherwise arranged with Arcos Learning Abroad.
Program payments can be made by ACH or personal check. A $35 fee will be assessed for all returned checks.
If payment has not been received by the invoiced due date, a 10% late fee may be assessed. If the payment is not received within 5 business days of the payment due date, you may be removed from the online program.
For all withdrawal or refund requests that occur after the payment due date, Arcos Learning Abroad (ALA) must receive a request in writing via email (info@arcosabroad.com).
Any withdrawal request made 15 or more days before the online course start date can be refunded 50% of the program price.
For any withdrawal request made 14 days or less before the program start date there is no refund.
Arcos Learning Abroad allows participants to pay for their online program with the use of financial aid, scholarships, grants, loans, and other means of approved financial assistance when the invoice amount exceeds $1,300.00.
If a participant’s financial aid/assistance will not be disbursed until after the payment due date, Arcos Learning Abroad will grant a payment extension for the amount covered by financial aid/assistance until the release date.
In order for Arcos Learning Abroad to grant a payment extension, the participant must complete the Arcos Learning Abroad Financial Aid Verification Form which ALA will provide upon request. This form is due to Arcos Learning Abroad by the payment due date.
The participant must pay the remaining amount owed to Arcos Learning Abroad within 7 days of the verified disbursement date listed in the Arcos Learning Abroad Financial Aid Verification Form.
Any amount of the program price that is not covered by financial aid or assistance must be paid in full to Arcos Learning Abroad no later than the payment due date.
If the participant neglects to pay any amount not covered by financial aid by the payment due date, or fails to submit the Arcos Learning Abroad Financial Aid Verification Form by the payment due date, the participant will be removed from the program with no refund.
If the participant’s program balance is not paid in full within 7 days of their verified disbursement date, the participant will be immediately withdrawn from the program (even if they have already started their online course), and will incur legal and academic repercussions: (i) the account will be sent to collections with a 35% added fee on to the balance to cover the cost of the collection service; (ii) Arcos Learning Abroad reserves the right to withhold the official university transcript earned on the program from the participant’s host institution until until the amount owed to Arcos Learning Abroad is paid in full. If this happens, the participant will not hold Arcos Learning Abroad, their home university, or their host institution responsible.
Arcos Learning Abroad reserves the right to cancel any online learning programs as deemed necessary by the program administration prior to the program start date. This may arise from insufficient participation or for other appropriate reasons. Arcos Learning Abroad will provide participants with as much advance notice as possible of such a decision. Upon cancellation, accepted applicants are presented with the following choices: (i) change to a different Arcos Learning Abroad program offered during a similar time period; (ii) defer the application to a future program that is offered within one year of the original program; (iii) the amount of any potential refund will be calculated at the time of cancellation.
Any changes to online coursework are only permitted up to 15 days prior to the program start date. A change fee of $50.00 is added to the program invoice.
The change fee is added to the program invoice and paid within 5 days of the change request.
All participants receive an official transcript outlining their coursework and grades.
Transcripts are typically received by our office 4 to 8 weeks after the program end date.
After the transcripts are received in our office, you will be sent via email a digital version of your official transcript and a translated letter explaining the coursework completed and grade earned.
Your official university transcript, along with the translated letter, is sent to the appropriate transcript contact person at your university.
Transcripts will not be processed until all pending student payments to Arcos Learning Abroad have been made.
We keep a copy of all transcripts in case you need official copies at a later date. These can be requested for a processing fee.
