7th Grade Summer Reading

All rising 7th graders are required to obtain a copy of A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park, read the novel, and complete the required summer reading assignment before the start of the school year. Students received a printed copy of the assignment from their English teacher at the end of the school year. A digital version is also available at the following link for your convenience.

The AJHS office has copies of A Long Walk to Water available to sell for $7. Gently used copies are also available through Black’s Old and New Mall, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Thrift Books, and other retailers. The AJHS Media Center has some books available for checkout as well. If obtaining a book is financially difficult, please contact the school.
