Good afternoon! We had a great MPA Camp last week and are working towards refining our program for state assessment. We need all students at sectionals to help with our preparation. Also, playing assignments are used to help learn our music, which is why we’re assigning MPA music for our playing assignments. Students need to get those turned in as soon as possible.

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and break! We are busy this week! We will have a concert band rehearsal after school on Monday, Dec. 1st, from 3-4 pm on the stage of the auditorium. THIS REHEARSAL IS MANDATORY FOR ALL MUSICIANS! Students can wear festive attire for the concert on Tuesday (ugly Christmas sweaters, red, green, etc.). More info on the concert is below. Our Christmas parade rehearsal will be on Wednesday from 3-4 pm, and the Arab Christmas Parade is on Thursday, 12/04. Students are responsible for getting their own Santa hats to wear with their marching uniforms for the parade, ONLY REGULAR (red and white) SANTA HATS WILL BE ALLOWED. Please, no writing on the hats.

We’ll have a short marching rehearsal on Wednesday, December 3rd, to practice (3-4 pm). Students will wear their marching uniforms for this event, ALONG with their own Santa hats. ONLY REGULAR (red and white) SANTA HATS WILL BE ALLOWED. Call time is 5 pm at the HS bandroom.

The following week (11/10-11/14), we’ll start full-band rehearsals for our Christmas concert on Dec. 2nd. All concert rehearsals will be on Tuesdays & Thursdays leading up to the concert.

Good afternoon! We’re incredibly proud of our students and their performance at the competition on Saturday. The results were not what we had hoped, but the staff thought our students had their best performance of the year! Every student improved and developed their musical abilities, and learned many valuable life lessons this season. Thank you to our students for putting in so much effort into making our halftime show so entertaining.

Good afternoon! Wow! What a weekend! Our staff couldn’t be prouder of every member of this band for their performance at Midsouth. Our students really stepped up and performed their best show of the season. Thank you for buying into the process and showcasing what we know you are all capable of achieving. Good afternoon! We hope everyone is getting some much-needed rest after homecoming week! Also, we would like to congratulate Karly Rankin and Addy Landry for being senior homecoming representatives. Congratulations to Addy Landry for being elected Homecoming Queen! The directors and staff are incredibly proud of both ladies representing the band in the Homecoming festivities. We’d also like to thank Stanley Bearden for handling our Homecoming meal, and our booster officers and volunteers for making the game such a success for us!
This week will include putting the rest of part 4 on the field, an AJHS football game, and a regular rehearsal at the new stadium on Thursday night! Homecoming Parade
Our homecoming parade is this Thursday, 09/11. The parade will start at 5 pm. Call time is 4 pm. Students will wear their marching uniforms for the parade. The buses will bring us back to the HS. Students will need rides to the new stadium after the parade to run the show before the game on Friday.

Spring Trip
There are still several “Pending” Travelers who haven’t completed their registration for the Orlando trip. Please check your account to make sure you are not “Pending”. Also, the registration deadline will be on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025. If you have not registered by Oct. 1st, you will have to contact Super Holiday to register. Please check on this ASAP.
Sardis Gameday Information
Call time will be 4 pm in the HS bandroom. The entire band will be in full uniform (band shirt under jacket, black socks, dinkles). Students will need money for dinner to eat at the Sardis concession stand. The game starts at 7 pm. Students may be checked off the bus after the game, but a parent/guardian will need to sign students off the bus.

Good afternoon! I’m proud of our students for how they acted and performed at our first game! We have a lot of different things going on next week. Please carefully review the rehearsal schedule. Also, AJHS games are NOT required, but we ask AHS students to come and play with the AJHS students to help build relationships with our younger students. Finally, please review the following band policy for checking students off the bus:
***Only PARENTS/GUARDIANS are allowed to check their child off the bus after a football game by signing the bus list of their bus booster chaperone. Another adult will be allowed to check off the child if the process has been previously communicated with Mr. Dailey. Parents should email Mr. Dailey to verify who is checking their student off the bus before the day of the event. Included in the email should be a parent's phone number. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Senior Night
Senior Night is this Thursday before the Albertville game. Parents CAN be on the field with the students for this ceremony. We will recognize them in the following order: Football, Trainers, Band, Auxiliaries, and Cheer. Please see the attached diagram below for on-field information. Parents will meet on the fieldhouse side of the field at 6:15 pm, and the ceremony will start at 6:30 pm.

Good afternoon! Be sure to check our schedules closely. We’ve changed our rehearsal time this Thursday to accommodate the Pee Wee football league. This also means we will NOT perform at the jamboree game this Thursday. Additionally, we will rehearse for 1 hour next Wednesday, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, to ensure we’re ready for the home game against Albertville. CPR Class
For parents who want to chaperone away games, you must be CPR certified to chaperone. We will have our CPR class on Monday night, 08/11, at 6 pm in the bandroom. The cost is $15 and you can pay at the class. To register, please click the link: CPR Certification 2025
