COMPETITION JUDGING
Andrew Hoinacki has been a band and solo judge for over 25 years. He is accredited by the Midwest Pipe Band Association (MWPBA). With the status of Full Adjudicator in the areas of drumming and ensemble, he is authorized to judge all grades of band drumming and band ensemble captions, as well as all levels of solo drumming competitions, including snare, tenor, and bass disciplines.
As a member of the Alliance of North American Pipe Band Associations, his MWPBA accreditation is respected by all fellow member bodies in North America and its affiliates beyond those borders.
Andrew was previously accredited by the Western United States Pipe Band Association (WUSPBA) for the period during which he resided within their governance. This A-Level Adjudicator status included all of the same authorizations as his prior and current MWPBA accreditation.
Andrew currently serves an appointment to the Music Board of the MWPBA. In this role, he is involved with overseeing competitor standards and grading of all member bands and soloists, the musical requirements of all competitive offerings, as well as the assessment parameters employed by judges during competitions and the accreditation of the association's adjudicator panel. He served in the same capacity as an appointed Music Board member for the WUSPBA while previously living within their governance.
