I was tasked with creating and implementing a unit plan and several assessments. This assignment directly impacted my professional growth and competency in this field in many ways. By developing a unit plan, I was required to hone a deep understanding of curriculum design, including setting appropriate learning objectives, choosing relevant content, and planning instructional strategies. This strengthened my ability to create a cohesive and effective learning experience. Designing and implementing assessments as part of the unit plan helped enhance my understanding of how to measure student learning effectively and create a balance of formative and summative assessments and align them with learning objectives.Â
