Writing this paper on curriculum development, evaluation, and revision helped significantly deepen my professional dispositions and educational competencies by engaging with one of the core elements of educational practice. Delving into curriculum development sharpened my understanding of the subject matter, which is essential for educators to design instruction that meets learning objectives effectively. Developing a curriculum is essentially planning how to teach which requires you to consider a wide range of instructional strategies and to select the ones that are most appropriate based on content, learning styles, and needs. This process necessitates critical thinking by analyzing educational materials, teaching methods, and student outcomes in order to make informed decisions to improve the curriculum. Through this paper, I was able to demonstrate a commitment and willingness to engage with complex problems, and openness to continual learning and improvement.Â
