Tutors provide supplemental instruction to Azusa High School, Upward Bound (UB) Scholars through one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in high school college preparatory subjects. Tutors will facilitate learning and help UB Scholars develop strategies and skills to become successful independent learners. The purpose of tutoring is to increase a student’s understanding and mastery of concepts and their application. Tutors will also have the opportunity to support Upward Bound staff lead and facilitate classroom discussions and mentor high school students. Tutors will be required to maintain a log of tutoring services provided to UB Scholars and document UB Scholar interactions.
Upward Bound tutoring will be hosted in-person at Azusa High School, Tuesdays, Thursdays from 3:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m., and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

Purpose:
The Student Dining Associate executes quality service within the APU EATS dining venues. As a member of the team, you will be trained in proper customer service, food and beverage standards and policies. This position will support the daily operations of APU EATS in our dining venues on the east and west campuses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet customers as they approach the pos, and be polite with customers during the transaction
Must have knowledge of pos, credit card machines, and Aramark Cash Handling Policy to service the customer effectively.
Must be familiar with all menu items and pricing to effectively complete financial transactions and answer questions from customers
Maintain an organized, neat, and clean cashier station
Stock service areas with paper goods, condiments, beverages, and food items as needed
Distribute promotional material and customer loyalty rewards as necessary
Monitor theft in the location and report incidents to managers
