Student Benchmarks
The Office of Academic Advising is here to support you and your academic success! A common question we hear students ask regarding classes is, “Will I be able to graduate on time?” Here are some things to keep in mind as you take steps toward graduation:
- Complete a minimum of 120 units*(excluding college-prep units).
- Complete all course requirements for your major, minor, and General Education.
- Maintain at least a 2.0* cumulative GPA. (Some majors/minors have higher GPA requirements).
- Meet the residency requirement.
- Complete your service credits each semester. Don’t wait until your final semester(s).
- Stay on top of your tuition and other payments to the university.
- Fulfill all other university requirements.
*PLEASE NOTE: Some majors require more than a minimum or 120 units and a GPA higher than 2.0. Make sure to check your major's specific requirements.

- View remaining course requirements in your Academic Requirement Report (PDF).
- Making an Academic Plan (PDF) based on the remaining classes.
- Use the Guide for Choosing Classes form (PDF) to select your courses.
- If possible, incorporate study away semesters and short-term mission trips.

- Log into your APU app or go to home.apu.edu and sign in
- On your Dashboard locate the Academic Success Center Widget
- Click on "Student Advising Notes"
