Magnus Chess Academy

Since 2010, we've taught more than five thousand elementary and middle school-aged students in after-school clubs in Arlington County. A few students have gone on to win state championships, but most are beginners looking to learn a fun new game.

We have online and in person options every week! Camps have a mixture of live lessons, practice games, puzzles, and tournaments. Campers are divided by skill so that everyone gets useful lessons and fair games. Brand new beginners will start with the basics, more advanced players will learn more advanced things.
