The Personal Project is assessed using three objectives.
Keep in mind...
You need to choose a topic to research that will help you to achieve a goal by creating a product.
Choosing a global context exploration will help you to focus your project.
You need to record all your thoughts, reflections, processes, planning, decisions, communications and more in a process journal. This journal will provide you with the content to write your report at the end of the project. It must be comprehensive and annotated.
You will create a product or outcome that best achieves your goal
You will submit a report meeting the assessment criteria ( see rubric)
Personal Project Rubric This rubric is used to assess your Personal Project. Refer to this rubric often as you progress through the project. (Click to see the rubric)
Objective A: Planning
Set a personal learning goal and select a global context for your project and explain how your interests inspired that goal and connects to the global context.
Decide on what you want to create (your product) and come up with clear success criteria to measure your progress.
Make a detailed plan to reach your goal and make sure your product meets the success criteria you set.
Objective B: Applying Skills
Describe how you used your ATL skills to help achieve your learning goal.
Explain how you applied those ATL skills to create your product and bring your ideas to life.
Objective C: Reflecting
Reflect on how the project impacted you or changed your approach to learning.
Look back at your product and evaluate it using the success criteria you set earlier.
