Recommendation Letters -
Not every college requires or even requests a free standing or separate letter - only 25% of colleges make this a requirement.
What type of colleges would that be? - private and/or highly selective institutions. Yes - you guessed it large public institutions like UGA, GSU, and GA Tech do not require a recommendation.
But if you do run across a school that does, in fact, incorporate a recommendation letter with your college application, then you should've already supplied us (your counselor and any recommender) with your resume and/or brag sheet:

Georgia Student Service Award (GSSA)
The GSSA honors high school seniors who submit 200+ volunteer hours to their counselor by March 15, 2027. Recipients receive a certificate and service cord for graduation. Contact Ms. Van Atta at mvanatta@atlanta.k12.ga.us or more information.

Flyer Gap Year.pdfMy name is Laurie Rubin, and I’m the Coordinator of Israel Engagement at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta. With generous support from the Zalik Foundation, we are able to offer the Atlanta Israel Gap Year Fellowship, which provides $10,000 for seniors who choose to participate in a pre-approved list of gap year experiences through Masa Israel Journey.
Since launching the fellowship in 2021, we’ve supported alumni from your school. In addition to reaching current seniors, we’re hoping to help raise awareness among underclassmen as they begin thinking about post-high-school options and long-term planning.
