When students display Sylvan Ready or Sylvan Star behavior academically, socially, or emotionally in the classroom, students will receive rewards or recognition for their positive and evolving actions. Incentives are whole class and individual incentives.
Incentives include, but are not limited to the following:
Mystery Gift Bag
Snack from the snack box
No Homework Pass
5 or 10 point Extra Credit Pass (depending on action)
"Sit Where I Want" pass
Lunch with/from the Teacher
"Work in Media Center" pass
No "Do Now" Work pass
I use a daily whole class point system. Each day the class has a chance to earn a MAX of 5 points each class day. These points are based on students displaying Sylvan Ready behaviors. Classes can earn bonus points for percentage of students who do homework each week, 80% or higher on quizzes or exams, or EXTRAORDINARY academic behavior in class. A time frame of 3-4 weeks is given and the class with the highest amount of points earns an incentive.
Incentives include, but are not limited to the following:
Movie Day
Game Day
No homework for a week
Pizza Party
Ice Cream Social
Sit Where We Want (1 day)
