College Rep Visits

Hello Class of 2025! It is the time to begin deciding on which university you will call home for the next 4 years! Your CAT (College Access Team) has begun to reach out to a variety of universities for them to send a representative to come and speak with you. Each representative will have the knowledge to answer questions you will have about their academia criteria, undergraduate programs, and campus life. 

A few questions you may want to ask and take note include but are not limited to:

• Are there different admission requirements for different majors/departments?

• What unique programs are included in your school’s curriculum?

• What are some of the popular clubs on campus? Is it possible for me to start my own club/organization? What is the process for that?

• What is the school culture like? On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the school spirit of the students?

• On average, what is the closest approximate amount of financial aid each student receives?  What is the amount of expected out-of-pocket costs?

• Are there academic support services on campus such as tutoring and writing centers?

• What are the undergraduate opportunities for internships, research, and potential employment post-graduation?  Are there specific companies that your institution is partnered with that hires a certain amount of graduate students each year?

• What percentage of students find summer internships/jobs before graduating?

Come prepared to ask questions and be open-minded!
