Next year, there will be a hundred new Pink Team sixth-graders coming to PVM, and many of them will be nervous, confused, and worried.  It is YOUR job, as soon-to-be “Pink Team graduates”, to help these new students get through their first few days at PVM without too much trouble!

You will make a survival guide for these new students.  Each new student will receive one of these guides at the beginning of next year (just like you did).  Follow ALL of the directions below.

Page 1:  Cover

·    It should say “Pink Team Survival Guide.”

·    It should be colorful and have a picture.

Page 2:  Introduction

·    Write a short letter to the new student, introducing yourself and making them feel welcome.

Pages 3 – 11:  Tips

·    Each page should have a survival tip as the title

• (example:  Tip #1:  Don't wear free-dress unless you have enough Pride Points)

·    Under the title should be a colored illustration.

·    Under the illustration should be a short paragraph explaining your tip

·    Your tips can be about anything that will help them get through the sixth grade.  They can be tips for the school, bus, cafeteria, tips for individual classes, etc. Do NOT put anything rude or ugly. 

• (example of rude or ugly: make sure to drink coffee before Mrs. Kelley's class because it is so boring that you will fall asleep.)

Page 12:  Encouragement

·    Write a short paragraph of good luck and encouragement! Don't forget to sign your name!
