Most assignments will be completed on the date assigned in class and due at the end of the period.
For larger assignments such as projects or essays, a set due date will be given on the day of assignment.
For any assignment not turned in on time, see my late work policy.
Late Work
Students may only turn in work after the specified due date during the unit that the assignment is a part of.
Once we move onto a new unit, I will not accept any assignments from the previous unit.
If you are absent, please check on Google Classroom first and send me an email if you have any questions about what you missed.
Extra Credit
There will be few extra credit assignments given during class that will be worth additional credit in the class.
You also have the opportunity to bring in classroom supplies for 5 points apiece. These include but are not limited to tissues, disinfecting wipes, sanitizer, printer paper, notebooks, loose-leaf paper, pens, pencils, highlighters, sticky notes, colored pencils, etc.
Technology
While technology will play an essential role in your educational experience, only some forms of technology will be permitted during our class time. District Chromebooks will be distributed at the beginning of the school year and must be brought to class daily. Assignments, directions, texts, and submissions will be digitally available on our Google Classroom which I will invite you to join at the beginning of the school year. You will need your Chromebooks daily to access these resources. You will not be permitted to use your cell phones to access digital class materials. All cell phones will be put away during class time unless otherwise instructed. Any technology that is disruptive or being used inappropriately during class time will be confiscated and dealt with in accordance with our technology policy outlined in the school's Student Success Handbook.
Please refer to our school's Student Success Handbook for a complete list of student academic, attendance, and behavior policies.
