All assignments will be due on their specified due date.
All assignment descriptions can be found in our Google Classroom.
Most assignments will be assigned during class and due at the end of the week.
For larger assignments such as projects or essays, a set due date will be given on the day of assignment.
For any assignment not turned in on time, see my late work policy.
Assignments are due on the given due date. These due dates will be communicated in class and on Google Classroom.
It is your responsibility to keep track of due dates.
Students may only turn in work after the specified due date if they have reached out to me previously and received an extension in writing.
If you are absent on the day an assignment we have been working on is due, you may turn in the assignment via Google Classroom or email to avoid zeros in the grade book.
Whether the absence is unexcused or excused, students are responsible for staying on top of their own work in my class. If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to reach out to me in order to receive/submit work they missed.
There will be few opportunities for extra credit in my class, so take advantage of them when they are available.
While technology will play an essential role in your educational experience, only some forms of technology will be permitted during our class time. District Chromebooks will be distributed at the beginning of the school year and must be brought to class daily. Assignments, directions, texts, and submissions will be digitally available on our Google Classroom which I will invite you to join at the beginning of the school year. You will need your Chromebooks daily to access these resources. You will not be permitted to use your cell phones to access digital class materials. All cell phones will be put away during class time unless otherwise instructed. Any technology that is disruptive or being used inappropriately during class time will be confiscated and dealt with in accordance with our technology policy outlined in the school's Student Success Handbook.
Please refer to our school's Student Success Handbook for a complete list of student academic, attendance, and behavior policies.
