The purpose of the videos on this page that you have been assigned to watch is to introduce vocabulary and ideas that will be used in class when talking about a specific topic. Some of these terms and ideas may show up in your weekly vocabulary lists and some will not, but all are important for you to know and understand. Therefore, as you watch the video that has been assigned for a particular night, it is important that you are taking notes. If you are unsure what to put in your notes, you can use the Write About It template as a guide.
Be sure that you write down any questions that you may have so that we can discuss them during class; often times if you have a question about something, somebody else probably has the same question so don’t be afraid to ask.
Also note that watching these videos will greatly enhance your experience in class, but do not replace you actually being in class.
