Choir Performance - December 2023

In the Spring of 2020, during our pandemic, members of the RMS community participated in a volunteer virtual choir project - Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
The Roosevelt Middle School 7th and 8th grade choir consistantly receive the highest ratings at the District 7 Music Performance Assessment Festival every March. This Festival is judged by Choral Directors from around the country. In 2023 the choir received a perfect score of 100 in the Sight Singing portion of the Festival.

The RMS Choir has been invited to sing the National Anthem at an Isotopes Schooltime Series game for the years - 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, 2021, 2022, AND 2023.
This is a highlight for our singers.

Mrs. Clarke and her program have been awarded a Horizon Grant from the APS Education Foundation for "It's Showtime - A student directed musical" for the years - 2018 , 2019 , 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 School years. This has helped allow for this unique program to flourish at RMS. Check out the Student Directed Musicals page for some videos of these musicals.
Mrs. Clarke received a Horizon Grant for "Let's Get Drumming - implementing a World Music Drumming" program at the middle school level" in 2019.
