Hello, my name is Renée Ochoa. I am a middle school teacher at eCADEMY K8 . I have a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Creative Writing and a Master's Degree in Education.  As far as my educational accomplishments are concerned, I am most proud of my high school diploma which I earned at Freedom High School. I have teaching endorsements in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Library / Media Services, and Teaching English as a Second Language. I have been with APS for over seventeen years and have also taught pre-school and facilitated home school classes for various groups.

My husband and I have three adult children of our  own.  All three of our children graduated from Albuquerque Public Schools and went on to graduate from the University of New Mexico.  However, they took different paths accomplishing these goals to include large comprehensive schools, home schooling, and magnet schools.

I appreciate all of the options our school district offers to families.  I have benefitted from these options as both a student and a parent, and I am proud to contribute to these options as a teacher. I look forward to getting to know both you and your child, and I am honored to play a part in your child's educational journey.
