Class Norms and Expectations
Class Norms and Expectations
Be ready:
On time
Dressed for school
Ready to learn
Go to your study area:
A quiet place where you can be still during our meet
Avoid distractions such as texting, television, gaming, or running around in such a way that distracts your peers.
Microphone Muted / Camera On /Guidelines and Expectations:
You may blur your background but may NOT use any meme or background other than blurring or the approved school logos.
Enter the meet on time and then mute your microphone.
You will need to have your camera on unless we have a prior arrangement that allows you to keep it off. It will be easier for everyone to get to know each other if the camera is pointed towards your face; however, you do not HAVE to have it pointed directly at your face but may have it pointed up towards your forehead. Make sure you respond if I check in with you on Go Guardian or ask if you are with us.
Be respectful:
Raise your hand when you want to speak.
Listen to your teacher and peers.
Focus on learning.
Utilize the chat to ask or answer questions about the class content. You may chat with your peers when class begins and before direct instruction about upcoming plans, hobbies, and so on. Please keep your language appropriate for school and be sensitive to and aware of your peers.
Reminder: Go Guardian may be employed to help keep students focused.
